Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Translate business goals into financial strategies that drive growth and operational efficiency.
  • Develop financial dashboards and performance scorecards for leadership.
  • Lead scenario modeling, investment appraisals, and cost-benefit analyses.
Accounting Operations Oversight
  • Supervise accurate posting of financial transactions across ERP systems.
  • Oversee monthly and year-end close processes, bank reconciliations, and ledger integrity.
  • Monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely settlements.
Financial Planning & Reporting
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning aligned with strategic goals.
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts and performance dashboards.
  • Manage cash flow planning and capital allocation for investment opportunities.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
  • Ensure timely filing of VAT, WHT, PAYE, SDL, and other statutory returns.
  • Supervise NSSF, NHIF, WCF submissions and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Liaise with TRA for audits, remissions, and tax adjustments.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Mentor and supervise finance team members including Assistant Manager, Junior Officers, and Trainees.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, ownership, and collaboration.
  • Lead capacity-building initiatives and promote cross-functional alignment.
Governance & Controls
  • Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and audit requirements.
  • Review and approve financial documentation and statutory submissions.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • CPA/ACCA qualified.
  • 7–8 years of progressive financial management experience, including multi-entity oversight.
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and ERP systems.
  • Proven leadership in budgeting, reporting, and team development.
